A Nurse Rant... beware

From time to time I grow a little weary of my positon as a pediatric RN, not because of previous NICU reasons of illness and tragic endings for families --which are viable reasons for frustration with my job. I am now an office nurse, meaning I am no longer actually keeping babies alive but rather dealing with mothers of,,, for the most part healthy thriving children. Answering endless questions about constipation, feeding, reflux, congestion, cough, injury, bloody noses,,, only to tell me at that end of our conversation that they do not belive me. Ok. hold one moment, I will schedule you with the doctor, besides I need a Christmas bonus this year and your copay will contribute to that.
